HR Manager
We’re looking for a self-starting, hands-on HR Manager to build and lead the HR function at Innovative Environments (IE). As a department of one, you’ll own all aspects of the employee experience—from hiring and onboarding to compliance, culture, training, and strategic people initiatives. You’ll collaborate with leadership and HR consultants to shape our workplace culture and ensure we attract, develop, and retain top talent.
This role is perfect for an HR professional who thrives in fast-paced, entrepreneurial settings and enjoys being both strategic and tactical.
🔑 What You’ll Own:
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding (30%)
Manage job postings, candidate screening, interviews, and offer letters
Oversee background checks and facilitate a seamless onboarding experience
Keep job descriptions current and aligned with business needs
HR Operations & Admin Support (20%)
Maintain HRIS records and employee changes
Draft policies, create internal communications, and run HR reports
Provide daily HR support for employees and leadership
Training & Development (5%)
Coordinate compliance and skills-based training
Partner with consultants for leadership development
Facilitate internal learning sessions
Culture, Engagement & Recognition (5%)
Organize internal events, promote recognition programs, and track engagement
Drive initiatives that support a strong, connected workplace culture
Employee Relations & Performance Management (10%)
Coach managers on performance conversations and documentation
Address employee concerns with professionalism and care
Oversee the performance review process
Benefits & 401(k) Administration (5%)
Manage open enrollment and new hire benefits onboarding
Answer benefits questions and resolve issues in coordination with providers
Maintain accurate benefits documentation
HR Compliance & Safety (10%)
Ensure HR files, policies, and practices are compliant and audit-ready
Coordinate safety training and injury reporting
Monitor and report safety-related metrics
Strategic HR Projects (15%)
Partner with consultants on compensation reviews, employee surveys, and org planning
Contribute to the evolution of HR systems and best practices as the business grows
✅ You’re a Great Fit If You:
Have 5+ years of HR generalist or HR manager experience
Excel at balancing strategic initiatives with day-to-day tasks
Are a proactive problem solver who loves building systems and processes
Have experience across HR functions including recruiting, compliance, and employee relations
Thrive in a fast-paced, creative, and collaborative environment
